It means that Wantai has officially entered the era of “green and low-carbon” transformation and development, indicating its deep commitment to product research and development and the determination of urban steel mills to take the lead.

It took a total of one year to complete the Wantai Special Steel Scientific Research Building, covering a total area of 1,500 square meters, and the first phase of research and development investment was about 12 million yuan.After the completion of the building, it mainly aims to deepen high-precision steel products through cooperation with enterprises and colleges, deepen the sinking product chain services, and develop and develop the excellent special steel industry.Wantai and the Institute of High-end Equipment Technology of Shanghai University signed a strategic cooperation in 2022 to deepen research and development innovation, sink service terminals, and strive to build a new low-carbon steel material industry chain.With “distributed urban steel mills“ as the core development concept, ”near-zero carbon emissions“ as the label of electric arc furnace steelmaking, and the vision of ”serving the city, building the city, and taking root in the city", it is committed to providing a strong guarantee for the employment of urban workers, economic development, social stability, and even talent output, technology research and development, management innovation, and the creation of a circular economy.

The first floor of the scientific research building is the “Cultural Exhibition Hall of Urban Steel Mills”, which mainly displays Wantai's 20-year development history, technological processes, product introductions, cooperation cases of large state-owned enterprises, Wantai honors, patents, charities, R&D products, etc.

The smart screen in the exhibition hall also shows the real-time data interaction of commodities, which can clearly see the real-time product industry chain data of the day.

The second floor of the scientific research building is the “digital twin smart Factory”, which displays the data control of the smart factory through two large LED screens.The large screen is mainly divided into two large screens. On one side, the large screen of the digital factory mainly collects various production, energy, environmental protection, safety and other data in the workshop, and monitors the on-site production data and the carbon emissions of various processes in real time.According to intelligent analysis, statistics and display, problems can be found and solved faster, production can be better served, and ultra-low emissions can be achieved through the transformation of smart factories.On the other side, the large-screen monitoring, real-time tracking through the on-site screen of the workshop, can clearly understand the real-time dynamics of on-site production in the workshop, and analyze whether there are safety hazards and production accidents on the site through video monitoring and tracking, so as to escort the sustainable development of “green and low-carbon”.

The third and fourth floors of the scientific research building are respectively the “Comprehensive Laboratory of Mechanics” and the “Metal Experiment Research and Development Center”. In 2022, Wantai signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Institute of High-end Equipment Technology of Shanghai University to provide process technical support for Wantai's optimization and upgrading and product transformation. At the same time, in order to vigorously carry out research and development, it is equipped with high and low temperature universal testing machine, Xia Bi pendulum impact testing machine, oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen integrated analysis machine, periodic infiltration corrosion testing machine and other high-end imported R&D equipment, accelerate the transformation and upgrading of enterprises' products, improve product diversity, and practice the goal of “double carbon” and promote the sustainable development of green and low-carbon enterprises.
